DD saw a dietician for a few months when she stopped gaining weight. She is 12 months tomorrow and is about 8kg.

At our first dietician appointment, we just talked through her feeding patterns and weight gains. The dietician gave me a few ideas to increase the calorie content of her meals. Things such as adding in fats and protein (canola, margarine, olive oil, meats, cheese, etc). We then gave it a few weeks and went back to review. We did this a few times. For DD this helped with her gains.

Some dietitians might offer you things to add to their food like polyjoule which is a white powder that is basically glucose, just adds extra calories and has no taste.

My DD has to go back to her dietician next year for a follow up to see how she is doing. She's still small but everyone seems to be happy with it.

Good luck with your appointment xx
