If it is going to happen...

Hopefully I'm not going to need this information, but if I am going to miscarry what should I expect?

I've just now started having a few cramps so am starting to prepare myself just in case. Of course it's almost a long weekend & my GP won't be open til Tuesday. Should I seek medical advice at any point?

Oh hun I really hope it's not the case for you. Just be aware of blood loss, if excessive go straight into casualty. My thoughts are with you hun.

    Regards,
    Dianne

I really hope you don't need this advice, but as Dianne says watch for excessive bleeding. If you do miscarry then the main concern would be an incomplete miscarriage and infection, but this would happen in a week or so and could be spotted by a funny smelling or coloured discharge. Hope this is all hypothetical

I have been following your other thread, CM, and I hope that this all ends in a healthy bub for you. I had cramps at about 7 or 8 weeks with all my pg's, I think sometimes I convinced myself there was a problem. I am certainly not suggesting that your symptoms are not real, but I hope it is just stress causing your discomfort. I have everything crossed for you, I hope the news from your dr is good.

Thanks girls. I did have some bad cramps Friday night with more spotting and again Saturday but nothing else has happened over the weekend.

    Don't feel pregnant anymore though.

Are you going to your GP on Tuesday? I hope all is ok & the loss of pg symptoms is nothing to be concerned about.

Kind of - just having a blood test but not actually seeing the dr. She's meant to ring me when the results come back.

Hey CM, I posted in your other thread as well & I really hope that everything is ok for you. However you asked what you needed to be prepared for & I wish someone had told me.

I cant see your ticker in this one & cant remember how far along your were, but at almost 13 weeks the biggest shock for me was the amount of fluid dahl, sorry if thats TMI. I spent hours sitting on a towel on the couch & rushing to the toilet whenever I felt a 'gush' & then spent hours on the toilet. There was just no way you could even try sleeping, there was no point.

On the other hand a close friend of mine mc'd at 7weeks & she said hers was just like a bad preiod. I don't want to go into too much detail & still fingers crossed that everythings ok, but if there's anything you want to know you're more than welcome to PM me & ask away, or just vent. Im holding my breath for you.
