    Where does one find jam jars?

    Want to make some jams and relishes, but I have very few jars... so where do I get more from?

    I ask friends to collect them and in exchange I give them a full jar.

    Other than that you can sometimes get them in opshops or you can buy new ones in supermarkets and reject type shops.

    You can get them second hand from op shops. Not sure where to buy them new. I do need to find out though, coz my mum wants to start selling at markets & you can't use second hand ones anymore.

    My Mum always used to have hundreds under her sink - look for a neighbour old enough to remember WW2 and hit them up for their stash.

    I wish...unfortunately we moved to a brand new estate, don't actually think there is anyone over 45 within 10 kms!

    Will hit up the ladies at the op shop

    There's a secret jam-jar sisterhood...you won't be admitted until you've cooked up at least three seperate batches of jam, chutney or marmalade. Then the jam-jars will start popping up uninvited, expectantly waiting for jam .
