Your recommendations for organisation, finance and health

I have decide this year we are going to be organised. Towards the end of the year I was running around like a headless chook forgetting things left right and centre.

So I would love to hear what you use to :
    a: budget
    b: shopping
    c: organise the house
d: take care of your health and diet
    e: a great diary
    f: a family friendly calender

Thanks for helping me try and get my scatter brain and house in some form of order

A website called Mooo have calendars where you can add each family member to help with organisation. I got one of the wall ones and a diary for my sister for Christmas.

As for the rest - I will be avidly looking for tips!!!

I bought a kikki k wall calender with a column for each family member. I am trying to get organised and have written a list of jobs that I have been putting off and that I think will help with keeping us running smoothly.
So am working on that (mainly cleaning up cupboards, laundry, pantry and packing up the clothes that are not the right size) so we have minimal clutter to manage and things have a place.
Budget - we review bills each week and then budget accordingly. This includes presents/clothes/hairdressers etc - I have to be brutal as otherwise we end up putting it on cards etc. We try to put any extra away immediately. Not very spontaneous but we do try to have some pocket money each a week too to avoid feeling like we are being deprived. Any big purchases are saved for and well considered (may seem boring but it works). I also try to meal plan before I shop and check the pantry fridge etc to avoid waste.
Clean up at the end of each day so that the majority of things go back to their 'home' (which is helpful now some of them actually have one, lol).
I also spend an hour in the mornings I am home doing washing/sweeping etc - but no more otherwise it creeps into the whole day and we forget to have down time/play time too.
No idea for the diary am keen to hear others.....

I was thinking the same thing this morning. I would really love something to keep my organised. DH and I have a weekly allowance that we get out on a friday, any money that is left over the next friday goes into saving. We are also going to try shopping fortnightly as my MIL says it saves her money - worth a shot I guess.

Cleaning wise we are cleaning one room a day in our house, and putting things we no longer want/use in the shed and will be having a garage sale to get rid of our collection. DH and I are both hoarders so we need to get rid of a heap of stuff. Hopefully it will raise some money as well.

Other than that, I can't wait to hear other peoples hints

There is a fabulous book called Organized Simplicity! Covers budget, Cleaning and life in general! I live it and it was only around $16 on Book Depository. I also use a kikki k to do list and calendar .
