Hi all! Wow, new, sparkly thread

I was in the shops today and everyone's trolleys were FULL of huggies nappies. there must have been some sort of special because the shelves in the baby aisle were empty at 3pm. My jaw dropped on how much money they throw away. I am talking people buying 7 or 8 packets each! Yes I buy sposies for DD of a night but only $20 a month compared to the $80 we were spending prior to full cloth. DD has been peeing and pooing alllllllllllllll day and every single nappy has contained them. Nappy load in but out of lavendar oil so extra airing time tomorrow i think.

Yep there was a sale today. On snugglers and huggies.
The last time I bought a box of nappies was in November. I got two for fifty and I've only just cracked open the second box

Sarah, I think most of the nappy makers outsource for embroidery services. Customs are generally hard to get a hold of.

The nappy sales explain the craziness down the shops. I don't pay attention to them really, just thought it was odd.

DD has been super niggly of a night lately and has been outwetting 13-18kg weight range sposies when she's only just 13kg. I have been buying that size range since she was 9kg because of the super weeing. She wakes up in the morning wih a massive marshmallow butt. Overnight she'll wake up and drink about 1ltr of water betweeen all wakeups. We now have 2 sippy cups on the sidetable because she gets so thirsty in the heat.

WOCB: Sposie, bonnibuns night nappy shell and Maz carnival dots cover. Double covered tonight because she's been drinking so much water today. This morning she left a puddle on the bed!

I did buy, & use most of a pack of sposies when Summer was 5 weeks old.
I bought them for our trip out west (10 hours away), but still took a few cloth too. Glad I had the sposie back up, coz we ended up getting flooded out of town there & with constant rain & no dryer, we'd have been screwed!!
Then the weekend after we went up to Noosa for a wedding. I used mostly cloth up there too, but it also rained there the whole time

I felt nasty putting the sposies on her! I only got the home brand ones. Didn't see the point in spending money on huggies or similar. They just felt so cheap & scratchy!

I actually found out Summer is sensitive to them that week (tried a few Huggies that were given to me as well, made no diff).
The only time she's had nappy rash was when she wore the sposies. NEVER had any other kind of nappy rash.

We survived the night in the CT. Very wet, but I think the sheets survived.

WOSB - Nothing Nappy free time & loving it!

Woohooo just made another instalment payment to Widdlewuns for my customs.. think I only have another hundred or so bucks to pay off it now.. the way I'm going I should get them by June.. bahahaha... helped I supposed that I sold my Dream Carrier to help fund them though.

As for sposies - doh I should have stocked up. I hate that the girls can't wear night nappies other than sposies, but its better than them having sleepless nights because of the nappy rash they get in night nappies

What is a good night nap? I'd really like to try one on DS..

Ds fits IB, and abbygros the best if that makes a difference

I like MAL night's coz they don't need a cover, but for a heavy wetter I'd put a cover over it. I think Summer will start needing a cover, coz she's been feeding & weeing more with the heat. I try to only use fleece or wool at night. Actually trying to cut PUL out altogether maybe...

DS has 3 MAL nights, a possums pouch & a Genesa Forge. PP is a bit chunky, but works. Well they all work on him, coz at his age, he's lucky if he wee's once over night.
DD so far has one MAL (2 on the way) & 2 daddledoo's (but she's recently closed down).

BBH nights worked really well for us, but they need a cover, genesa forge night nappies were brilliant too (thanks mel!) Sadly though iz is in sposies at night because she was getting an awful rash on her belly! i had to ring one of my baby buddies from BB who's little girl was a similar size to iz to see what size sposie i needed to buy because i had no idea!!
Arimeh do u find sposies have more of a urine smell than cloth? was feeding iz in the wee hours of the mornign and was lkie holy hell that stinks!

When I was using cloth at night we liked either fluffy bubs or GF super super trim nights for the kids.

ETA: Skybie - I think they stink less in sposies than cloth actually.

I think you can get a night booster from abby gro. i know she customs night nappies

Skybie- With DD it doesn't make much of a difference re:urine smell. She just outfloods cloth where as the sposie JUST HOLDS ON. Lucky I double covered last night. I pulled them off this morning and the nappy outer was sweating because it was that full.
