When I was on the pill this time round I got the lovely discoloured sections on my forehead and upper lip. I've been off the pill for 3 months now and thought that it would be fading away, but its not!! I just read up on it and google says that it can take several months for it to fade away It was also said that these discoloured sections can be caused by pregnancy hormones too!! So I am TTC and hope to be pregnant very soon and don't want these patches to get any darker cause they are dark enough already (when pg with DD I got dark patches in my armpits so I know I am prone to this...)
So is there any sort of face product that I can use to help reduce the appearance and help it disappear a little quicker?? Something not too expensive would be good too..
I got shocking pigmentation marks when I was pg with Arabella and after I had her they just didn't seem to be going away, not even fading in the slightest and got worse when I had some sun even though I always wear sunscreen.
I ended up trying a product from Clinique called Even Better Skin Tone Corrector and it worked a treat. I noticed the marks disappearing after a couple of weeks. Cant really remeber how much it was, maybe about $50 or $60, but so worth it and it lasts for ages, I still have the first bottle I got. I also use the foundation with skin tone corrector in it too, awsome stuff... Can you tell I like Clinique products LOL...
Nicambhar, do you think that Cliniqu product could work on men? My DH has started to suffer from some pigmentation marks for the first time in his life since we spent June/July in Croatia and of course he refuses to go to the Dr about it!
Thanks Nicambhar!! $50 or $60 is a good price to pay for something like will help. I was a bit worried that it would be up past the $100 mark! And YES I am the same, I wear suncream on my face and it still gets darker. I recently went to Bali, bought the best suncream for your face, put it on constantly and still the marks got darker. I had to wear foundation for weeks afterwards and I dont normally wear foundation!!
Ang, I don't see why it wouldn't work on him... Is it around the stubble on his face though? I think the key is wearing sunscreen every single day. BTW, Clinique has a men's range, so they may even have a similar product.
Ngala - you can look around online and get it alot cheaper I'm sure. I know what you mean about the sun exposure, I wear 30 plus tinted moisturiser in summer.
Its on his forehead going down to the bridge of his nose - his discolouration has gone pink tho, dont know if that makes a difference? I think I am just going to go and buy it for him regardless, gotta try something.
