Blood Nose - should i worry

A was arguing with a friends little boy over a toy, she finally got it then cracked the sads and threw it (Hmm soo unlike her until he's around) and managed to clock Z on the side of the head... i wasn't too phased as it actually looked like it missed her but then she started crying so i told A she had to say sorry etc etc.

Pick Z up for a hug and notice the tiniest spot of blood on her leg, thought DAMN SHE'S HURT HER MOUTH (ie. bitten her tongue or something)
NOPE somehow she's gotten a blood nose ????????????????
From what my friend and i saw not only did we think it missed but had it have hit it was towards the back of her head, nowhere near her nose.

    Should i be worried?
She is so over tired and was way overdue for a nap so she is down for a sleep, the bleeding stopped within like 2 seconds but still....

Will go and check on her regularly JIC... should i have let her sleep.. i'm worried now

I would not be overly concerned. I should imagine that the toy was relatively light and therefore unlikely to cause any serious damage. The blood nose was obviously not too bad otherwise you would have noticed it instantly. Blood nose could have been cause by a number of things including z having a little play in there just before the toy incident. Keep an eye on her but I really don’t think there is anything to worry about

The toy actually has a little weight behind it and she hasn't discovered the finger up her nose phase yet.. she woke up very grizzly after 30min had a quick feed and is back asleep????

Took her to emergency, she kept falling asleep and was very sooky.
Of course the minute we got there she was bright eyed, but was sooking and screaming the whole time we waited, then we walk in and smiles again.

They looked at me like i was nuts, no scratches in her nose and no explanation for the bleeding, found a stain on her top and now have a poor girl with a headache..

She has been very unsettled tonight, have only just gotten her to bed, gave her some panadol so hopefully her head is feeling better for her b'day tomorrow.
I'm ok, just hate not knowing and being treated like some paranoid freak when i do actually take them in... trust me i am the least OTT paranoid mother out there

It's scary seeing them with nose bleeds. DD had one a few months ago and they told me that while it's uncommon in young babies, it is usually nothing to worry about. It's if you can't stop the bleeding, then it needs to be checked out.

DS woke up this morning with a blood nose and blood over the sheets and pillow. Looked really bad but he was ok.

I'm sure Z will be ok and she will have a great birthday!
