Need some help - bathroom deco's for kids

J man and I are currently renovating...and the bathroom is our latest victim

We have decided to stick to black floor and white wall tiles so was can decorate it with colour by other means.

I dont want to go all kiddy either, no silly fish or whales, ect...I really want it to be bright and funky

I would love to buy bright aqua blue, lime green and fuscia items but cant find anything in those colours.

The only thing V and I found has a little fuscia bin which of course she had to buy

please help, Ive sat here for 3 hours googling and coming up with nothing

just a idea, but you could get paint in the colours you want to go on the tiles, and get the kids to do hand/foot prints on certain tiles and there initial on the corner of each print, then its special to you. kiddie and colourfull. and you could then place them were ever you wanted on the walls. may haveto give them a coat of clear to "set" the pics?

Mazzie, colours are really seasonal and it can be hard if you don't want to follow this years "trend".

Exactly what stuff do you mean - towels, bath mats etc? If so maybe you could stick with white towels/handtowels but sew some of that decorative ribbon near the edges.

Ummmm, Bed, Bath and Table, Ikea, Howards Storage World. I know I've seen some bright funky bathroom accessories but for the LIFE of me can't think where. It's going to drive me nuts all day now.

Are the walls going to be tiled all the way to the ceiling?

If not get some of those funky wall transfers. I've seen them on ebay and FB. I'm pretty sure they're removable when you get sick of them too.

Lu - thats exactly what I had planned...keep the bathroom nuetral and just accessories with fun colours. I was looking for some inspiration when we were at Ikea but found nothing that was 'right'

Tinks - Transfer....ohhh now thats a great idea for one wall thats going to look boring, now to decide which one

Fee - ROFL I spent enough there before Christmas and again nothing really fell at me BUT wil have another lookon line

Jolz - your a doll babe, will see if there is anything and let you know thanks babe

Sarah - loveth etile idea but I wouldnt put it on the wall. the walls are going to be creamish (heritage white) and we're doing the bathroom in such away that it appeals to others when we sell.

    off to go looksie...thanks lovelies

I would go with little bits and bobs you can swap easily, nothing that is permanent or you'll be doing this all over again.

Why not get each of the kids to draw or paint some pictures of things you would like in there and frame them? Or go with themed linen etc.

I have stunning Teal towels and some lovely fuschia towels. I think they came from either Bed Bath and Table or Adairs, but I've had them for about 3 years now. Even Target can have some good colours, you just have to keep hunting till you get the perfect ones.
