So after wiping this morning to find a large amount of bright red blood. DF and I went to the DR. We had HCG levels check and an internal ultrasound. My HCG levels were 1061 at 5wks 4days but measured 5wks 1day on ultrasound. I was sent home with threatened miscarriage. Oh, that dreaded term. What it really means is "Undetermined until you start bleeding healvily". Well now I am just spotting brown blood with clumps in it like during a period. Not enough to saturate a pad at but its like I wipe and I see little blood chunks with brown blood. Also I had no cramps until ultrasound and now I have cramps....so any ideas...anyone have this happen and ended up with earthside baby?
I had brown bleeding with DS between 4.5 and 7 weeks. Not enough to soak a pad but enough to make me terrified. Good luck I hope you have a happy ending too. That pg resulted in lil munchkin who has just turned 2 and is currently tucked safely in his cot . Btw I also had crampy period like feelings with DS's pregnancy until around 14 weeks. Hard not to worry but fingers crossed you and bub will be ok. Are you having another scan in a week or so. I had internal US at 5, 7 and 12 weeks but OB was extremely gentle when doing so. I bled what felt and looked like (in flow and colour) a full period - with clots! - somewhere between 5 and 7 weeks with my first pregnancy. The resulting baby, DD, is now 19 months.

. Btw I also had crampy period like feelings with DS's pregnancy until around 14 weeks. Hard not to worry but fingers crossed you and bub will be ok. Are you having another scan in a week or so. I had internal US at 5, 7 and 12 weeks but OB was extremely gentle when doing so. Wishing you all the best.
