Hi, I"m currently 38 weeks pregnant, with my second, have a little man, 15 months. Is anyone ealse a bit fed up with themselves at this stage of pregnancy? I'm having a bad day, hoping the bub comes early as I have had lots if twinges since Monday and bub has become quiet. My last pregnancy I didnt feel like this at all, though I worked till 38 weeks, I feel like crying!! Can't sleep at night, try not to sleep during the day even if I am exhausted, but it doesn't seem to make a differance! I'm wide awake at either 2am or 4am!! Frustrated, Lizzy
Oh, I can so relate! I'm post-dates with two boys (3 and almost 2) to run around after! The boys both came early so I've never made 40 weeks and was therefore SO sure bub was arriving early. Mostly I do okay, but today has been full of cramps, backache, HUGE movements from bubs, cervix jabs and just all-around uncomfyness. So glad it's the weekend so DH can look after the boys and I can impersonate a beached whale for a while!
Awww, hang in there!!! Maybe a nap during the day wouldn't be so bad? Then at least you've have SOME sleep that day and you might be rested enough to sleep at night- oh, I know, it doesn't make sense! I hope you can find a comfy possie and get a little rest xxx
Hi all!!
Ha i'm feeling it too!!!!
I am 39+2 and i'm not overdue yet and i'm over being so cumbersome !!
Having all the same issues, cervix jabs, BH, i go to sleep and wake thru the night to then get up in the morning and feel as if i have been in a half sleep!! Constantly thinking about baby!!!! Where are you???
Good to know i'm not alone! xxxx
I'm only 31 wks, have a 3 year old and all I want to do is sleep. I am so over the restless legs, heartburn and not being able to sleep on my tummy - the only comfy spot
Thanks girls, I apprieciate the responses and the fact I'm not ALONE! Ended up at the hospital last night, had cramping and pain for two hours before I went, had a CTG done, bubs heartrate dropping every now and again, half way engaged, and ONLY braxs and hixs, after being on the machine for an hour!!! Dr came in only to do an internal and say my cervix was closed. I have no idea, although I have a bub, he was emergency c-section, no labour, no contractions, not even the slightest twinge, and didn't engage at all, so I'm having a bit of trouble with all these pains. Had a little bit better sleep last night, only cause I was so exhausted, but still awake at 2am, still in pain, how long does this go on for before I hopefully go into labour?????
Pre labour can last for days or weeks. It's exciting though, because your body is gearing up for labour! You'll know it's the real thing because you won't be able to talk or engage with those around you, but will need to go into your zone to cope.
Your body is perfect and doing everything it needs to do. Soon your bub will be here and all this will be a distant memory. Enjoy these last few days/week as a family of three.
All i can say is that each and every pregnancy really can be its own thing and so different from the last, which seems amazing!!
This is my third and they have all been different in regards to the impending birth aspect!
You can have the pains for a while as far as i can tell, i've been having them for a couple of weeks so far!!
Whereas my last pregnancy i had no warning whatsoever, i woke up early in the morning thinking it was probably BH and 4 1/2 hrs later hello baby!!
It does make it hard to work out what is what initially but i think you being aware of your body is a good start and it is better to be on the safe side and just get it checked if unsure!
