    plums, plums and more plums

We have plums coming out our ears Our plum tree was loaded this year (most are now off the tree) but we have loads of plums to do stuff with. We've given away a lot, frozen some to make jam later on with (might be in a couple of years time at the rate DH cooks jam). A friend's made plum sauce with some.

BUT what else can we do with them? I'm kinda over them being in the freezer for so long as well. DH's suggested stewing some (I don't know how and I'm trying to plead ignorance so DH can deal with them). DH doesn't want them to go to waste so...

Hit me with your best plum recipes/ideas.

Maz - the neighbour's apricot tree is also loaded. I think DH is going to trade a few plums for A LOT of apricots, so we'll have apricots in the freezer too (only just got rid of last season's from the freezer when DH made apricot jam last week - DH also made peach & fig jam.) Figs will be ripening soon so we'll be adding those to the freezer too

You could stew some up with spices or with other fruit like rhubarb, apple, etc, and freeze it to eat like stewed fruit on your porridge in winter!
