    Wink It my right!!

I just have to share my excitement with how the plans for my vba3c are going

Im planning a vba3c for May and initially had no idea what sort of opposition I was going to run in to, but I knew deep down my dreams of a vaginal birth would be shattered when I approached the hospital (or so I thought)

My first step was finding an Independent Midwife which I did and I honestly could not have found anyone better. I have no words to express how amazing she is. She goes above and beyond for me and right from the start she believed in me and gave me strength and confidence . She works at the hospital I plan to birth in and bought up my situation in a conversation with the head midwife (no names were used) and the head Midwife basically just says, its my body, my baby and my right to do whatever I like and they will support me. Im pretty sure she did a happy dance when she rang me! Step one completed.

The next step was approaching the Midwives during my antenatal clinic. She opened my folder and saw that I was seeing one of the midwives who doesnt usually do antenatal care (my IM) and said it was 'odd', so I explained to her that I have hired her as my independent midwife because I am trying for a vba3c. I prepared myself for the onslaught, but she was incredibly good about it!! She even went to the trouble of seeing which OB I was booked in to see in Feb and realised it wasnt a vbac friendly one, so she rang and changed my appt for me Once again, she said it was my right and no one could bully me about it YAY

Im just so happy that all of this seems to be going A LOT easier than I thought it could ever be. I couldn't have done it without my amazing Midwife!!

Not only will she be able to deliver my baby in the hospital, but she said that if the opportunity arises, there is no reason why my husband cant catch our baby!!

    Im just so happy!!
