    Panadol & Toothache

One of my Wisdom teeth has decided to play up, and I really don't want to do anything about it until after bubs arrives if I can.... I have had a constant toothache for a week now, and have been taking about 4 panadol for every 24 hours...do you think this is okay? It is getting better each day, and I haven't had any panadol for a day, but was just wondering about constantly using it. I am going to my GP on Monday anyway.

See your dentist. I had a wizzy tooth removed at 30 weeks and it was a really positive experience. He recommended panadol for afterwards, but I only needed one.

On pain relief, though, if you don't want to go to the dentist, panadol is fine. I even had a doctor tell me to take panadeine forte and stop being such a martyr. (wtf?? I didn't need it!)

Thanks Guys....I have to admit that I am bit scared to have it removed....so not scared about Labour at all, and I delivered an 11lb bubba with no drugs last time and it was a breeze and this one is looking big too.....but I HATE THE DENTIST!!!!! Might need to just bite the bullet and get it done....

Mine played up when i was pg last time. I already knew i couldn't have it taken out in the chair but needed to see a surgeon but went to the dentist anyways. They gave it a really good clean with peroxide to stop the infection and it gave me so much relief. I put peroxide on it for a couple of days (perfectly safe) after and used listerine and it really helped get me through until after the baby was born and i could have it removed when bub was about 6mths old. That was a whole nother story but don't hesitate to go to the dentist now and at least have it cleaned.
Ring Mothersafe if you want to get information about how much panadol is safe. Look up the number online.
ps it was also worth while investing in a good electric toothbrush to keep it super clean and stop infection.
