So im going off to uni for a 6 week course to get my Agents Reps Cert yaaay for me its a huge step for me....now ive contacted some estate agents around my way to ask if they could put me in a traineeship....would i get paid for this?
DH's uncle runs a very successful RE business on the Mornington Peninsula, he sells those really big expensive homes that make you drool! I'd love to follow him around one day just so I could peek through them haha! He showed Hugh Jackman through a house the week after Christmas, how cool!
Don't ask for a trainee ship... They will only find a low pay rate and you will have the knowledge you need after a course anyway. There's not ALOT to Real estate.... I'd start off looking for a property management position before moving into sales once you get a better understanding of value of properties etc.
I never did a course but started in reception at 16.... Then property management at 18. With only what I picked up on the job. These days you have to do a registrationcertificate but once you have that you are set for the actual job....property management. Don't waste your time or talent undervaluing what you already know. Most of what you will learn is common sense with a few laws thrown in.
enjoy the course and best of luck with future employment my mum is a licensee and has over 25 years experience.
well i did ask sweeney real estate and the GM there siad she would be glad to met with me. I figured while im doing my agents rep cert course ( 6 weeks) i would get some on the job experience...
Oh yeah, whilst you are doing the course, but I mean after you will be qualified so expect to get paid a decent salary.... Don't settle for a long term traineeship
