How long is your LO "down" for overnight?

As the topic states, I'm curious as to how long your LO is down for at night.

Note I do not mean how long they sleep for as I know that will vary greatly... But I mean what time do you put them to bed and what time do they wake up?

DD currently goes to bed around 8-8.30pm and was sleeping til after 7am but is now waking for the day around 6am... I don't know if I should be winding back her bed time? Or just rolling with it... She's only getting around 10hrs sleep overnight, if that...

My DS would do a solid 12 before he threw his dummy out.
Now we are lucky to get 8-10 with the trouble of actually getting him to bed.
When we are in a good routine... and this is going back months now he was going down around 7.30-8.30pm and waking up between 8.30-9.30am.

    What age?

My older son currently goes to bed around 8pm, goes to sleep about 10pm and then gets up around 6.30am. So 10.5 hours "down".

Baby is too hard to add up as he's up a lot overnight and it changes too often.

My 21 month old goes to bed around 7.30ish (sometimes earlier, not much later) and is awake 5, 5-30.
He still has 1 1/2 hrs sleep in the morning, usually around 9-10.
He is pretty much asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow.

DD1 is 2.5 and all over the place still - can be asleep at 8 and up at 6.30 or could be up at 8am - depends if she is up during the night for a couple of hours. I think last night she was asleep by 9, and up at around 7 this morning - she didn't wake up overnight though.

DD2 is 13.5 months and she goes to sleep around 7.30 and is usually awake by 6.30am.

DD is 2 and is down for 10 hours or so...usually in bed at 8:30-9pm and up at 6:30-7am. She will sleep 2 plus hours in the day too, so I generally get about 12 in 24 hours of sleep out of her.

DD is 2 and goes to bed about 8-8.30 and is up about 8.30 in the morning (depending if next doors rooster wakes her earlier!!) She used to be in bed by 8 and up at 8 but daylight savings put and end to that!! She still sleeps for 2-3 hrs from 12 everyday like clock work. HTH

I have 2 daughters that love their sleep.

DD1 in bed at 8:30 and wakes up between 8am & 9:30am. She also still has a 1.5 - 2hour nap in the afternoon. Amelia is 21months
DD2 last feed around 9pm in bed by 10pm and wakes around 7:30am. Macey is 9 weeks old now.

They both take after their mummy I guess. I love my sleep too.

I hadn't thought of it that way - DD is the same, she will sleep for two hours during the day, so I do get 12 from 24!

Thanks guys... Guess I will just roll with it!

DD goes to bed at 8.30, always! She has chosen that time herself and it's too hard to get her to sleep before then, and anytime after she's really over tired. Then she wakes between 5 and 6am. If I'm lucky 6.30am. So only around 9hrs sleep here. Was better in winter when it wasn't so light in the mornings. She has a 2hr day nap as well.

My DS is 18 months and is usually down for somewhere between 10 and 11 hours, sometime less, but I do my best to get a minimum of 10 hours. He only naps for 1.5 hours during the day at most, but seems to get by on around 12 hours sleep a day... I think they're all different and just need different amounts of sleep. As long as she's happy I wouldn't worry. I have found that it doesn't make any difference what time DS goes to bed he still wakes up at the same time (usually around 5am, 6am on a good day). HTH

My two year old goes down around 9pm. Can sometimes be as early as 8pm, but not generally before 8:30.

He sleeps until at least 7am. Frequently as late as 8am, but we generally wake him then if he hasn't already. He seems to love his sleep - around 11 hours per night plus a 2-3 hour nap during the day.
