Gym with Creche in Sydney

Hello everyone,

we are in the process of moving from Canberra to Sydney and we will be living in Bondi Junction , where my husband's new job is located.
Back in November i've started to go to the gym and so far i've lost 15 kg ( other 15 to go unfortunately, but pretty happy anyway).
I was wondering if you could suggest me address me to a good gym in , or near, the Bondi Junction area , not too far away as i rather not take the car, and with a Creche for my 2 girls.
I am currently a member of Edge Helthclub in the ACT.

I was a member of body shape in Dee Why (not close to Bondi Junction) but there may be one near bondi? Its a female only gym.
I think fitness first has a creche too but I've heard alot of bad stories about fitness first so it wouldnt be my first choice.

Maybe use google to find out?

Thank you Breeze, i did a bit of googling and fitness first was the one more promising, but now i am not so sure ;-)

I don't know Sydney very well so i am a bit confused regarding areas and the distance between them.

I really want to keep up the gym visits so that i don't lose motivation and fell of the track.

If you're not sure of the distance, put the suburb in google maps then "get directions" & put in Bondi junction (or put in the 2 addresses, yours & the gyms) & click get directions, you can find out how long it will take driving or walking

I went to fitness first for 2 years when I lived in Sydney and I LOVED that gym!!! Never went to the Bondi one but it's a pretty big one!
I would check it out just cause I found they had the best classes b equiptment, not sure about crèche tho.

Most the fitness first have a creche, the one I went too did! the girls loved the creche there, and the ladies looking after my girls were lovely, we went to the carlingford one though, but the Bondi Junction one should have a creche.. give them a call? I used to go 3 mornings a week was great.

Thanks MrsBexie and Belle!! I called fitness First and they confirmed that they have a creche, so i'll definitely go and have a look.

Welcome! you will love Bondi, great area! love the shops there! Is your first DD starting school this year? our DD1 is the same age shes starting in 2012

Yes Belle, DD1 will start pre-school this year and that remind that i still have to find a school for her. We weren't aspecting to move so suddenly and we have only few weeks left to rent our house down here and to find a place in Sydney.
Little stressy, but i'm sooo looking forward to move to Bondi!!

Fedi, up here they have a program for 4yr olds kinder (year before school) called school readiness, you can join the local kinder, or a preschool that does the school readiness program. Im not from bondi unfortunately so dont know many good ones in your area, however I would ring up soon as there are likely to be waiting lists as Kinder starts at the end of this month! DD1 is going to a kinder attached to DD2 preschool which is good!
