Wasn't sure where to put this as it doesn't really belong under home either!
I was just curious as to what people would say is the generally accepted age to start buying children passes on public transport? I am can't find anything on viclink but maybe I'm not looking hard enough?
i was under the impression it was 6.... but then fil use to not pay for my bil's when they were 11 & 12? ive never seen or heard anything on it either, i just assumed it was school age when you start?
Children 0-3 years - Children under 4 years old travel free on public transport in Victoria.
4-16 years - Entitled to concession fares on public transport across Victoria.
DS is 4.5 and I haven't thought about paying for a ticket for him, I thought it was about 6?
ETA:
ZF - oops! lucky I don't use it very often My mum has paid for his trips on VLine, but I thought it was a VLine thing, said I to myself until now, without ever checking the MetLink policy
