a totally stupid question about measuring for bras

OK I'm apologising in advance but here goes....

We are remote and having a fitting isn't an option here. Neither is a decent bra so I have to buy online.
But my question is this....
When I'm measuring around the bust do I do it with a bra on or without? Because obviously the results are markedly different.

i would measure with out your bra on. otherwise u may get the wrong size . i have hard to fit boobs8E/F so i did alot of googling about sizing and getting the right fit . imo bra cups stretch . so many times i have been sold an FF cup coz my boobs bulged and bit over an E cup but after aweek or so wearing it they gave a little and they fit better. so have a google about bra sizing u will find alot of the right info

I am quite sure that it should be done without a bra. For example, if the bra you have on doesn't fit you properly, then it may distort the shape of your boobs, give the wrong measurement, and you'll still end up with the wrong fitting bra.

Your meant to do it while wearing your best fitting bra then judge from that if need be, as in too tight go up a size, too big go down a size.

if you have perky little boobs it probably wouldn't matter but if you have any sag at all you need to measure with a non padded bra or you wont be able to measure the fullest part of your bust without having the tape too low down your back.

Remove clothing before taking measurements but always keep a bra on whilst measuring. A non padded bra gives a more accurate measurement.

The easiest way to determine the size for your ladyfriend is to have a look in her lingerie drawer at the sizes she is currently wearing. This may not always be possible and if the thought of being caught browsing through her lingerie drawer put you off there is another easier method which surprisingly works quite well. Think of her bust as a piece of fruit. The equivalent fruit size matches the cup size you should buy:

Is there an Intimo consultant out there?? They are all trained to fit you properly. When I had a party last year they measured me over the bra and my nw bras fit perfectly.
