Ulcers / White Sores Inside Lips

Looking inside DD1's mouth today she has white spots (ulcers/sores) a couple of random ones on her bottom inner lip and then a big cluster almost taking up most of the inside of her top lip.

They don't look sore or red, just white, don't seem to have fluid and she's not complaining about them.

she didn't have a dummy in bed last night so maybe she was sucking her lips?
I am not 100% sure, is there anything i should be careful of?

SIL is a nurse, i called her and she suggested i just keep an eye on them, get her to drink lots of water to clean the area and if still there tomorrow or they start annoying her just get a DR to take a look.

Am hoping it's not a virus or they are not contagious, she hasn't been around anyone sick.

    Hi ~Zarava Flutterby~

Im gonna go out on a limb here and ask could it be oral thrush??? I dont know a great deal about it but remember being told by a midwife it looks white in the mouth...I dont honestly know any more but thought it might give you an idea

I know a girlfriend of mine has her son with Hand, Foot and mouth at the moment and that has sores in the mouth but that also has high temps and other signs as well. SO maybe it could just be thrush?

No white coating in her mouth or on her tongue, just these little white spots/sores.
If Kate07 see this she might be able to explain them better
She is a little off her food so maybe they are annoying her, DP said they look like little milk pimples but i don't know how to explain them

J has had them. If what you are describing sorta look like pimples, they're not inflamed or sore to touch and not pussy. I took him to the dr and he said its from his teeth rubbing on his lip. Kinda like how a shoe leaves a blister on your foot from rubbing. I was skeptical but I kept an eye on them and they went on their own and haven't been back. When you think about it, it makes sense. The skin there wouldn't be used to sharp objects near them and would need to toughen up.

Have added pics to my BB only album on FB:
Upper Lip - excuse her NOSE.. couldn't be bothered editing.
    Lower Lip

    Any ideas?
She may have been rubbing her teeth in her sleep as she had no dummy but she's never had it before and she has all her teeth

I can't see them, but my DD2 had what the GP thought was thrush for months. When I went on an elimination diet it turned out that it was due to a food intolerance. When I went off foods she reacted too, it cleared up, but if I had something, she would get them back. Its nearly like an internal eczema and doesn't do much but can cause some discomfort when eating/feeding.
