    1st birthday party

Having DD's 1st birthday party at home, in our backyard on Sunday.
It is going to be 40 degrees!
I had already planned that people with kids could play inside with the aircon on, but I have 100 people coming- can't have them all inside.
I have 4 tents outside for shelter, but it's going to be soooooo hot.
    Would YOU cancel?

I've been to a party recently and they organised for an inflatable pool for the kiddies. The tents also kept the sun rays from stinging.

Tho, the party was about 30 people.

It's a tough decision to make. I would still go ahead and maybe stock up with ice blocks and ice.

    Hope it's a great party.

I personally wouldn't cancel. But obviously there are going to be some people that will cancel at the last minute and others that will want to stay inside most of the day.

I wouldn't cancel hun, you will prob find some ppl will cancel due to the heat but others will rock up no matter what.
The boys sat outside on new years eve and enjoyed themselves even in that shocking heat.

Use the shell pool for the kids and use the other half (if not filled with sand) for the adults feet , can you run some extension elads and pop a couple of $15 fans outside?
Lots of ice and icy poles

i wouldn't cancel but i would also plan that some might cancel due to weather.

maybe just make sure you have extra drinks & be extra careful with the food - i.e. don't have it outside.

hopefully it won't make it to 40
