I'm trying to remember a Book title , please help

There's a book I read many years ago, about reincarnation, past lives and it's a story on a few different souls and their journeys throughout different periods of time.

it begins BC or Ad from my memory, in terms of years/time and follows these souls over a long time up until 1980's or something that was relatively recent ....

its a story of soul mates and how souls interact in different relationships over different lives

I really want to read this book again but for the life of. Me....can't remember the title!

If it's a fiction title...is it The Law of Love (by Laura Esquivel, who also wrote Like water for chocolate)?

Like Water for Chocolate, you're taking me back, that was SUCH a good film. Came out craving Mexican food. (different lifetime ago).

Gigi, yeah I really loved the film too...it was the one that got me started watching foreign films...it's been a while, might have to track it down for another viewing.
