I had to send DD1 to kindy last week and felt like you do. I like her company and I miss her when she isn't here. She is only going 5 days a fortnight at the moment and that is enough for me to get used to at the moment.

I hope your boys have a good day at school though. Enjoy having your preppy home for a bonus day

I know the boys will have a good day but I just miss them.. I don't let them know just how much I miss them though I think today I miss them more because DH started back at work yesterday (he had 6 days off last week) and today is my first proper day at home with the kids at school..

DD starts school tomorrow, I was really excited for her but now I'm feeling sad.

DS went back to school today and I'm missing him too even though they both drove me crazy over the holidays towards the end.

I'm like that too. I can't wait for them to go to school on Friday but when they are gone I don't know what to do with myself and Bella misses them like crazy.

My 4 older kids go back on Wednesday and Thursday...I already know that I am going to miss them.
The school holidays have gone so fast and they have been so busy.
My three littlies are really going to miss them...especially my two girls.

I love it when Oskar goes to kindy... for a couple of hours.... then I start twiddling my thumbs lol. I love the quiet... for a couple of hours... then it's TOO LOUD, that quiet is too loud. lol. I do LOVE the huge cuddles I get at pick up time though

I am glad I am not the only big sooky

Even though they make heaps of noise and quite often fight over silly things I miss it. Its been nice today though as DD is very happy to have Ds3 home and they are very busy helping me empty the kitchen out (taking a break cus I am melting even with the Ac on)

And Ozzie I am the same.. The kids might go to the grandparents while we do some shopping and after 2 hours I am the same. I wonder what it is about the 2 hr mark?? maybe that is all we need to recharge our batteries

I am sad that Dh doesn't miss the kids like I do but he said he goes to work so he is used to being away from them but he did admit he found the house way to quiet last week with the 3 boys at school

I'm not looking forward to it, ds1 starts pre-primary this year which is 5 days a week. We have a 5yr age gap between ds1 and ds2 so this is going to be really strange, for 5yrs it was just me and my little man (and dh of course ). These school holidays have been long and he's more than ready to go back but 5 days a week is a lot.... gonna miss him heaps!!!

Its sweet that you miss them so much.

I feel like an evil mum, I am counting down the months til DS starts school in July, and I KNOW I wont miss him at all....

I am dreading my baby boy going to school. I know I'm going to cry. I tried him in childcare last year but we didn't cope. The first day I ran to the car crying lol. Maybe next year.

omg I did the exact same thing.. I tried sending Ds2 to daycare before he started prep and I was sobbing so hard at the car I could barely breath :lo: he last 3 half days and i pulled him out. We were both so miserable and he wasn't getting anything out of it so Dh and I didn't see the point of him going and he settled into school within 3 days and now in grade 2 and loves it

I couldn't wait for my boy to go back this year. Just the fighting and annoying of each other was getting to me. I did enjoy the peace and quiet this morning but by lunch I did really miss him. It's like it gets to about midday and I'm kinda counting down the time till I get him. I was kinda nervous about how he'd go and classes and teacher, etc but turns out it's all good.

When he first started preschool just one day a week, I cried and cried before he started. He didn't care though. Very independent. Same with school I was a mess and upset, and he was fine. Imagine if he was a mess like me, I would never have left. lol.
