What nappies do you suggest for a heavy wetting newborn?
I've got #3 on the way & #s 1 & 2 were heavy wetters, so there's a good chance #3 will be too. I tried pre-folds with #2 but he wet through them in no time.
I'm using Baby Beehinds Bamboo OSFAs with #1 & 2 at the moment, but I've heard OSFAs aren't much chop with newborns. I also have some small Cutiebums (WHAM) Fitted Hemp nappies, but they're too big for a newborn.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
I used Baby Beehinds Bamboo OSFA with the boosters in my heavy wetting new born. I started using them on her at about 6 weeks as I was still getting the hang of everything and didn't want to add the cloth nappies into the mix in the early, early days so i'm not sure on fit for a new - new born. I also found the wool outers good overnight when DD was really little, because at that age you're still changing them overnight and they seemed to keep her bum drier.
I've always found the BBH not particularly absorbent Teh OSFM fit DD from around 5 weeks (5kg). We use a hodge podge of things (including some newborn fitted handmedowns), so not really sure I can recommend anything in particular. With DS (who was a very heavy wetter) we used the old terry cloth flats - which are not especially absorbent but it didn't really matter since we had to change him 10+ times a day due to all the poo.
If you want a good night nappy I can recommend Maz's. With a wool cover definitely.
Cushie Tooshies Bamboo Delight. We get 12 hours out of it withour newborn. ME Sandys with a double booster also nets us 12 hours. And she's yet to wet through a Tots Bots Bamboozle.
