    Canberra IVFers...

    Hi,

Just wondering if there is any else in Canberra doing IVF?? We did a 2 cycles and one FET with IVF Australia in Sydney (resulting in our DS) but moved to Canberra last year. We are now looking into trying again after DS turns 1!

Just wondering who others went with and their experiences - Thanks.

I went through Canberra Fertility Centre (CFC) for about 4 stim cycles. The OB I saw was hard to get into and wasn't suggesting any difference in treatment despite the same negative results.

With some gentle pushing from DH we changed to ISIS Fertility. It was the best move we ever made. It was a new clinic but it was such a lovely environment. I felt like a person because you'd walk in and be greeted with a personal welcome, but more importantly my FS was pro-active in trying different things to get me pregnant. You can google ISIS Canberra for more information, or let me know if you want more information about my experience. I had one stim cycle with ISIS. The first transfer failed, so with the FET we tried a different medication regime and resulted in our DS. We also went to blastocyst which had never been mentioned with CFC.

There is also a Sydney IVF-Canberra but I have no experience with them. From our experience ISIS comes highly recommended by me and DH.

    Good luck.

Like Ce I recommend checking out ISIS. I've done CFC, Sydney IVF and went to Melbourne for Monash but we had our success first time with ISIS and they are real people treating you like real people. Such a difference from the rest.

    Best of luck TTC #2!

Hi CECE I have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility. All tests came normal. The only thing I have not done so far is a lap. Tried CFC....was not quite satisfied with the treatments. Thinking about moving to ISIS or SIVF.

I've had two friends go through ISIS with success, and they were very happy with them. We're back in Canberra now after going through MIVF to conceive #1 and will go through ISIS when we're ready to TTC#2.

    Good luck!

    Hoping4mericle,

I was completely happy with ISIS and so was my DH. He was really impressed with our FS (Dr Sides) willingness to try plan B or C if A didn't work. DH also likes to do his own research on things and we got great support for that from Dr Sides. We had already done a lap etc so she just took our history (I had my notes from previous cycles to show) and we went from there.

I know from my own experience it was hard to make that leap from a clinic that you know to one you don't but in all honesty it was the best move we made. Good luck with it.
