Contents Insurance

Hey Ladies... after all these resent events I really need to stop putting off getting contents insurance and we really wanted to go with suncorp after seeing their support to the floods and honoring their cover. However they aren't accepting policies in our area due to "recent events"

Does anyone have any suggestions on who else to try?

Allianz will be the same as I just updated our cover today and the guy said the same thing, flood affected areas are on hold.

most insurers will probably put a hold on contents insurance for a while in flood impacted areas - i know areas around here were impossible to get house and/or contents insurance around the fires in 2009. i think the only people that would be able to get anything would be those already insured who were moving to an area and transferring cover kwim?
