    Charting confusion!

Ok so according to my chart I should ovulate around Wednesday next week.

This morning there was a BIG drop in my temp even though I took it later than usual and after I had dropped the kids off to school.

I got a positive OPK at 10.30 this morning but now at 2.00 its negative.

I'm also cramping really badly like when I ovulate.

This makes no sense to me!

    Heya
Do you have a link to your chart that I could see??

Just want to confirm... you took your temp AFTER you droped your kids off to school? So you were up and about (obviously) and then took your temp? You should take your temp before you even get out of bed..

I think ovulation can change all the time. And an OPK could detect ovulation up to 36hrs away I think, so you could O over the weekend? I know with my O pains, I will have a bit of a dull cramp/back ache before it intensifies and then goes away. I think this happens over a couple of days for me..

I usually take my temp when I first wake up, I was running late this morning so didn't get to take it until after dropping off the kids and being out in the sun which is why I was surprised it was so low.

And I have no idea how to link a chart lol

Im not entirely sure what your temp would do after you have been up and about cause I havent tried it!

If you are charting with FF then go to Share - Set up homepage. Just go through the set up bits there and you should get the sharing link on your set up page. Copy and paste and there ya go!

Personally I would discard today's temp. It is not your resting temp as you had been out and about busy getting the kids ready and off to school, and so it is not really indicative of anything. Your best bet would be to wait for tomorrows temperature.

I can clearly tell when I am having ovulation pains, I get cramps to one side. My CM is also a great indicator. What is your CM like?

I agree with manhattan - discard todays temp and see what the next few days bring.
