DH and I are thinking of doing lite and easy 5 days a week, more for convenience than annything, but hey if I lost a couple of kilos I wouldnt be complaining... We seem to order in (not junk food) more than we cook these days simply because by the time we're done with work, getting DS fed and into bed cooking is the last thing we want to do. So I thought it would be convenient and a fair bit lower in fat etc than the takeaway we get...
So do you get it? Is the food as good as it looks in photos?
my sister and mum use it for convience- they call it lite and lazy food lol
yes better than take away but i did it for a bit and didnt lose much weight on it at all
food was ok- i reckon jenny craig food was nicer
but as long as you pick your choices well you should be ok
stay away those dishes that taste crap heated up again such as the schtizels, even the roasts, but the pastas and curries were not bad!
Thanks ladies, they're not glowing reviews... But then you're not saying it's crap either....
I think we'll give it a go and see what we think. I'm actually hopping it might reignite my passion for cooking again... We'll cook for ourselves on sat and Sunday and I think it will be nice to look forward to putting together some gourmet delight for our Saturday night dinner, like we used to bc.
Are the meals the same as the light and easy frozen meals from the supermarket?
If they are you could try a few
IMHO, I had one for lunch today, and there is no way I could eat that every day. If I had to pick one word it would be 'stodgy'. Sorry to anyone who likes them!
yeah i agree that the food is not great.
i did it for about 6 weeks and just finally cracked, i couldn't go another day on it. just the thought of some of the meals made me feel sick. sorry! just being honest.
i think you would be better off planning your meals and doing a big cook up on a sunday of things that could be frozen for the week...or even just having a couple of really easy meals ready to go - like sausages and salad with bread rolls or even chicken tonight with rice. it would be a lot cheaper too.
