Pls help - Male 21st Present

DH and I will be attending a 21st birthday party on Thursday night for a guy he works with. DH didn't even think about buying a gift until I mentioned it today (why am I surprised?) and he's not really being any help with what may be suitable to get him.

In the past I've only bought for female friends, so please hit me with suggestions for a guy's 21st.

There are no known hobbies or sporting groups he follows.
