    Maternity Style wedding dresses

Soooooo ... we have planned a March 2011 Wedding at this stage, I'll be around 5ish months preggers and wanted to know where you would find a nice yet simple wedding dress that will not cost more than say $500? Lord, I dont even know if i want to spend that much

The ceremony will only have DF, me and a friend to witness

    Any ideas?

I got married 2 weeks ago at 33 weeks. I got mine on eBay for $230 inc postage from melb and was made to my measurements.

Congratulations! I got married at 30 weeks. I simply went into maternity stores and explained that I wanted something white/cream and simple. One wonderful store had a dress in another colour that I loved so they ordered it in for me in white. I think from memory it was only about $50 and I felt comfortable and looked pretty good (if I do say so myself) :-D Ask around in some store, you may be lucky.

I recommend getting one made. We also had us and 2 witnesses and I got some material I liked and then had it made all for about $300, mind you the lady who made it quoted me half of what she ended up charging me. I'd say if it's simple than it shouldn't cost much to make at all, then you get the benefits of it being fitted just for you and exactly what you want.

ree that dress is beautiful, I bet you blew your groom away!

I wish I had got one with straps. My boobies were too heavy and I had to squish them into a small strapless to stop it falling down lol
Fashion impressions were great to deal with. My dress had a panel in.the back behind the cross over part. I told them it was maternity and they just gave me a few extra measurements they needed

when i got the dress i took it to the dressmaker who just cut the strap in half and measured me sewed it up then had to take the back panel out due to the panel not fitting wouldnt do up at the top i put on heaps so she took it out cut it down to hide my buttcrack and the bottom bit of panel fitted
