    wont be feeding for almost 48 hours..

    will i be at risk of mastitis?

    DD is feeding morning and at lunchtime but is sleeping at my parents tonight and tomorrow so i wont be feeding her now until thursday morning
    its only just occured to me that it will be almost 48hr between feeds.

    shes almost 2

    any advise, should i express?

    I doubt you will be at risk of mastitis, but you might want to express just for comfort if you feel a bit full.

    I have had a couple of blocked ducts due to missed feeds recently - and like you I have a morning and night feeding toddler. Express in the shower and don't get overfull - because unblocking the damn things when there is no baby to do the work is rather difficult!

    You may be surprised at how full you feel when she's away. the rule applies - if you feel uncomfortably full, express a little until you feel comfortable again
