I use the same one - they are always super fluffy!!! I always struggled with getting the shake and bake mix in the corners of the bottle..... so definitely better!
I found this on the net the other day and thought I would share - it's so easy I think it's even faster than using a 'Shake & Bake' pancake mix
1 cup SR flour
1 cup milk
1 egg
Mix together. Cook!! Ha ha. That's it
It made 6 medium size pancakes when I made it and they were lovely and light and fluffy.
I use the same one - they are always super fluffy!!! I always struggled with getting the shake and bake mix in the corners of the bottle..... so definitely better!
The one i use is:
1 cup SR flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla essence
They make the yummiest pancakes!!! and if i wasnt out of SR flour id make some now![]()
Now that's my kind of recipe, nice and simple.
Regards,
Dianne
Oooh yeah I forgot I added a sprinkle of sugar to mineha ha. Still pretty easy though.
LMS yours sounds yummy too - vanilla essence is a good idea.
Yep thats the one i use, so easy to remember and DP lurvessss them.
I dont even use eggs. Not sure why they're even in there, it's exactly the same without them...
ETA - My recipe is:
SR or plain flour
Milk
few drops vanilla
Sugar
mix in however much you think until you have a pancake batter like consistancy (I don't measure it so cant give you measurements lol). cook.
I add mashed banana and honey to Ds's so it's a bit healthier. and yummy too.
ETA2 Banana has to be well mashed or it sticks to the pan.
Oh Yum, will definitely try this recipe.... Thanks for posting
I made it with GF flour and soy milk and YUMMO!!!!
yummm thanks for sharing ladies, might just try one of these in the morning
try using buttermilk instead of normal milk, even yummier![]()
Well my 2 boys usually only eat one each- but this time they had 2- which only left a few for DH and I- everyone loved them. Much better then the shake-it ones we use to get (the last few pancakes i've made were some chocolate ones- but they were always flat).
Oh and great idea for the chocolate chips- i had chocolate chips in the fridge i could've used. Maybe next time with chocolate chips and a mashed banana too.
