Mucus in uterine cavity --- Why?

    Hi,

I have been doing an antagonist cycle at MIVF. I had my OPU yesterday (sadly, only two eggs retrieved ) but, due to an abundance of mucus in my uterine cavity, I had to have a D&C so, if the eggs fertilise, transfer cant go ahead because I now have no lining

Just wondering if anyone out there has had a similar problem with mucus in uterus?

Not sure what causes it, will it happen again, is it why I have not gotten UTD up to now....

Any and all information/advice would be very welcome I am too impatient to wait to hear from FS/clinic.

    Thanks!!!

Hi N2L sorry to hear your cycle ended as a freeze all. I have heard that mucas in the uterus can be caused if you have blocked or slightly blocked tubes, which cause a build up of fluid in your tubes which leaks into the uterus and can be toxic. What did your fs say? Do you have any tube issues? I am assuming you have had a lap to check. I would think this could be a reason why you are ltttc. Regardless I hope your fet cycle gives you your bfp. Good luck x

    Thanks Baby Dreamtime

I am pretty sure my tubes aren't blocked. I havent had a lap but I have had a HSG. That was about five months ago but they were totally clear then.
My fertility clinic has called this morning and said the pathology result was good so I guess that's something. Of course, I am still worried it will happen again next month... I need to actually speak to the FS rather than the nurses and receptionists i think.

Oh well, I guess disappointment kind of goes with the IVF territory.

    Onwards and upwards

ps. Congrats on your little girls
