How much does your 18 month old weigh?

Just curious - had Moo weighed at MCHN this morning. He was 12.3kg but I thought he'd be heavier! He's a stocky little guy so I was surprised he hadn't put on more since his last visit.

I didnt measure DS at 18 months but he is now nearly 20 months and weighs about 13kgs. And DS is quite tall for his age. So 12.3kg sounds about right!

All mine have stopped growing for about 12months when they have hit between 10-12kgs, from about 12months to 2 years of age!

My 26 mth old DD is 9.7kg and at 18mths she was about 8.5kg.
I think they are all different...if they are happy and healthy that is the main thing.

Both my DSs were a bit over 14kg at 18 months. DS2 has just hit 15kg and is 22 months. They are both on the highest percentiles for height and weight though. Around 12kg is pretty average for 18 moths.

They definietly do slow down a lot after 12 months. After the rapid gains in the first 12 months it seems weird when you weigh them and they have only put a couple of hundred grams in months. It is nice to not have to put them in new clothes every month or 2 though!

DS is just over 15kgs, but he is around a head taller than his friends and family of a similar age. I think whilst he is growing in height, his weight is stabilising because he is far more active now that he is walking (a bit of a late starter). I think the second year is a strange one because their growth can slow down so much. Moo's weight sounds just fine to me x

I can't remember what his height was but he's quite long in the body with short little legs

After thinking about it, Moo is NON STOP all day!

Only about 9.5kg. I would be very happy with over 12kg!

DS is 18.5 months corrected (22mts actual) and weighs 10.4 kg.

Like other have said, as long as he's happy and healthy try not to worry.

I don't think my last 3 kids would have weighed that much at 18 months. They were probably only 11-11.5kg? At this age they only put on around 2kg per year so it's not a worry really.

This is quite comforting to me, DS has done the same thing - gained less than 2 kilo's since he was 9 or 10 months.

He weighed about 11 kgs I think
