    Too weird? (TMI)

    Im over it!!

DS13 nearly 14 is a hairy little so and so and I have had it with his freakin pubes!!
They are everywhere, in their shower, all over the bathroom floor, the toilet floor its gross.
I vaccum everyday and everyday my floors look like a pubic hair garden!

He has a lump in his groin area that turns out just to be a swollen gland but he got DH to have a look and DH reckons "geez the kids a gorilla"

Sooooooo this is the possibly weird part......
Do you think im a cruel mother for getting him to shave? Not like bald or anything but get the clippers on him.
Not me obviously but I will tell him to, well to trim up dowstairs!
He knows im going mental over it cause im forever telling him to "bloody clean up your piablos!"

    So what do you think?
    Too much??

Oh just thought I would add we do have a fairly open relationship and although a bit embarassed I think he would be ok about it.

I'm sorry but I couldn't help but have a bit of a chuckle. And a at the realisation that dealing with my son's pubes is yet ANOTHER thing I have to look forward to.

Is it something your DH can have a chat to him about? As part of the whole "being a man" discussion, that a bit of gardening is the norm and that maybe he'd like to start now? If he knows it may one day help with the ladies he may be more keen to do it!

You know I have 2 hairy teenage boys and it never occurred to me to get them to trim to curb the hair loss Do you think it would actually work? Why is it they lose so much anyway?? Maybe it's an age thing or is it just a pure volume thing??

For the hairy man down there, man sculpting is a defiant NEED. Just a sec, I've just seen your siggy, is he only 13? Holly molly! Maybe it's a hormone thing...

For the hairy man down there, man sculpting is a defiant NEED. No girl will want to go near it, it's bad enough picking off a man's chest hair off your boobs, worse if you have to pick pubs out of your teeth . If he wants to get extreme you could suggest a back, crack and sac wax... pretty! No longer the last chicken in the shop look, makes them look bigger, well that can be the sell...

Funny you should say that about short ones. I came home form work 2 weeks ago and walked in to the kitchen to find hundreds of short little hairs all over the floor. I followed the trail back to the bathroom (which is just off the kitchen) to find even more. On closer inspection I saw they were "trimmed" pubes. DS2 (16) had given himself a trim with his new razor that has a little electric end for beard trimming But not so funny when there's a trail of short little pubes in my kitchen !!! I did laugh though. For his birthday we planned to get him a bikini trimmer and a dust buster

I must say though my 19yr old DS doesn't seem to moult half as much as he did a couple of years back...yes sadly I can tell whose pubes are whose, all 3 men in the house have a slightly different colour So maybe it is a hormone thing and as they settle a bit the damage to the floor isn't so bad?
I'd be worried about unnecessary thickening as well...

Oh what a thread certainly has given me a much needed giggle But I do understand your pain!

My DD wont be having sex at 13, I'm working on a chastity belt that works in a similar way to an electric fence. :P

DS nearly 13 is exactly the same, last year in grade 6 he told me that when the boys were changing at swimming lessons he was the only one with pubic hair. He also wanted to shave his facial hair last year but once I told him it will grow thicker once you shave he decided against it. I think it's wonderful that you have that open relationship with him.

    Dianne
