10 month old day sleep - what did yours do at this age?
Hey,
My little one has just recently changed her sleep in quite a big way. She *generally* has a long-ish nap in the morning now and then nothing for the rest of the day. Her bedtime is around 7pm and she goes down easily now - because she's shattered.
This is working well for us, but I just thought it might be a bit early for her to be dropping to one sleep a day?
i think they are all different hun. My little boy is 14 months and is mostly having only one day sleep of anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. He also goes down at 7pm shattered and has been getting up later (waking about 7am but not ready to get up til about 7.30/8am)...
but he did this for a week or two, then went back to two shorter sleeps during the day and has now gone back to one sleep!!!
At 10 months he was doing 2 naps a day and 7pm bedtime til about 6.30am.
I think overall it's just how much sleep they are getting in a 24 hr period, some kids need more, some less.
If it's working for both of you, I wouldn't change it..... lol she'll change again soon anyhow, you know what they are like hahahaha.
My DD2 went down to one sleep at 10 months. She just refused to have that second arvo sleep and I wasn't going to fight her over it. She's still happy going down late morning for a couple of hours and she's nearly two. Go with it if it's working x
My little guy is just 9mts and he'll only have 1 day sleep. It's not even a long one normally, on a good day we'll get 1 1/2 hrs, yesterday we got 40mins! BUT.... he goes to bed around 6:45pm in the evening and wakes up around 7:30-8am every morning, 9 times out of 10 he'll sleep through, we get the occasional wake up for a cuddle or 'bonus boobs' but that seems to be only when he's teething.
I worry that he doesn't sleep enough during the day, but he's not grumpy, he's perfectly happy, rolling and commando crawling, playing with toys, his brother etc....
Mine wasnt a sleeper so she was having 2 naps of around 40 minutes and that was fight then into bed by 8pm and waking about 8am, but sadly there was about 4 wakeups in that 12 hours (pfft, still is a heap) FWIW, whilst I do not like the local MCHN she mentioned at our 12 month appointment that 'most' babes are having 1 nap by 12 months
