I was just wanting to know if any of you lovely ladies that have had a VBAC or attempted a VBAC felt any pain, twinges etc anything really, (small or big) in the area of your scar during your labour.
And if so were you successful in VBAC'ing?
Just need to know if I should expect anything or not that's all. If I feel something I don't want to go jumping the gun & being scared for no good reason iykwim...
For me, all labour pain was in that general area, and it got really painful when DD2 moved down into my pelvis and just before crowning. Thats the only time I actually said out loud that my uterus was going to rupture.
However, once the contraction was over, I had no pain in that area, if you rupture, you still have the pain there, so thats the biggest sign you can have.
With my rupture I had the normal ebb and flow contraction pain but then the pain at the scar site was constant - it didn't go away like the contraction pain. I also had the sensation that I was trying to push the baby out through the front of my uterus.
I would say that those sensations are probably the ones to watch out for, especially if they are accompanied by meconium and fresh blood.
I had no scar pain with dd2, just the contraction pains which ebbed and flowed.
With Ds I did get some scar pain when he was engaged for so long (5 weeks), spoke to my gp as my ob was away but it stopped when he finally moved slightly. There was no pain during labour though.
