    tomato jam/relish recipes?

my parents are away at the moment & their tomato plants have gone crazy!

i'd like to make some tomato jam or relish with all these lovely ripe homegrown tomatoes but i've been looking at the taste website & i'm just not loving any of their recipes.

does anyone have a yummy tomato jam or relish recipe you'd like to share with me?

No, but gee I wish I knew my nan's!

No one seems to know and she passed away a couple of years ago.

I'll be stalking for ideas too!

I have this one but it is from the Internet, made it at Christmas and it was a hit (cant say personally as I hate relish):
    Ingredients

    2lb (1kg) skinned, diced tomatoes

2lb (1kg) sliced or diced onions

    3 cups (660g) sugar

    1 pint (600ml) malt vinegar

    1 T salt

    3 T mustard powder

    3 T curry powder

3 T cornflour and water to mix it
    Preparation method
    1. Skin tomatoes by coring and cutting a cross on top. Pour boiling water over and leave until cool enough to handle. Then very easy to skin.

    2. Boil all ingredients together for approx 1 hour or until tender.

    3. Then thicken with 3 T cornflour mixed with a little water to a thin paste. Stir in whilst you stir and cook a further 5 mins stirring all the time.

    4. Put in clean jars filling right to the top before putting lid on. When cold tighten lid again.

    Chunky or smooth

If that one doesnt take your fancy or you want a few ideas I have another 1 or 2 recipes...happy to share

If you like a chunky relish cut in large pieces or smaller for a finer relish.
