OOPS sorry was LOL till I read it was hot, hope DH is ok and didnt get burnt.
Not sure maybe sugar soap?? (I love that stuff)
Yep.
DH dropped a container of bolognaise sauce from bench height to the floor, and the sauce bounced back up and it's all over the roof (as well as in DHs face) it had just come out of the microwave so was hot.
How do I get it off the roof?
Normal detergents?
Bicarb?
I want something that will do minimal damage to the paintwork

I have no advice I'm sorry but I have to say that's the funniest title of a thread that I have seen in a while!
Hmmm, can you just get up on a chair or stepladder, and just wipe it off with a sponge before it stains? I dunno. I'm not very domestic so probably just wait for someone better than me.
I would use vinegar and warm water, but I dont have any chemicals here.....
my cure all for all stains is cheap supermarket shampoo- that'll get stains from anything. Also encourages you never to use it on your body!
Chux magic erasers... They remove crayon & pen off walls without taking off the paint too, so maybe they would work for sauce?
Hmmmmm if paint is coming off from just wiping it, not much else is going to work I don't think :-(
Sounds weird but a UV light would work.
Where would one get one of those?
Google UV torch
But they can be dangerous so make sure you keep it away from kiddies. I'd even be inclined to take it apart and put half in one place and the other half in another.
i have had this happen before lol - how sad is that
i got it off with ajax bench spray- the one in the yellow container- the trick is to do it straight away
otherwise if you get desparate maybe a bit of domestos on a sponge and blot the stain- domestos gets everything off!!
Bleach and then rinse it. Something thick like Domestos as it's on the ceiling.
Magic erasers do actually remove a small amount of paint.
