Hair Styling Products Shelf Life??

Hello there All

Just wondering how long can you store hair styling products for - ie smoothing serums, styling solution etc?? I've had mine for a few years and was wondering if that's just way too long - they all still look OK and smell OK..... new hair cut means coming back to some old favourites
