My DD is 10 months old, no teeth. Yesterday she had a runny nose all day, I thought she may be getting a cold. She then had 3 explosive nappies which were terrible, ate nothing for tea but fell asleep on the boob early so off to bed.

Woke after an hour and proceeded to scream for the next 4 hours. Wouldn't touch paracetamol, wouldn't feed, could hardly breathe with her runny nose. This went on and off all night. Then this morning she woke up with flaming rashy cheeks, no temp but she is miserable

Does this sound like teething? She isn't coughing, which I would expect with a cold. She's had another really bad nappy this morning too.

Also, approximately how long after symptoms started did you see a tooth come through?

My heart is breaking for her, she is so unhappy

Hi, my DD is only 3 months so haven't experienced teething myself, but I spend a lot of time with my sister's kids and this sounds like classic teething. Niece #1 they came through pretty quickly after this started, #2 they went up and down for a couple of months before she cut her first one on her first birthday (I was holding her when she started screaming!) but don't worry the symptoms weren't constant!

My DD is nearly 11 months and has 4 teeth, she generally gets snuffly with teeth coming through, but we've never had the explosive nappies. We are very lucky that the only way it unsettles her is really a few extra BF's and the odd broken nights sleep, she usually eats well regardless. But we do swear by the effectiveness of her amber teething necklace too. I can see two little white bumps under her gums as the next 2 move around, but have been able to see them for a couple of weeks now, so who knows when they'll come through? It seems like every tooth has been something different....

I hope your DD's discomfort has eased and her teeth start appearing soon!
