Does anyone know anything about molybdenum?

DH took DD (14.5 months) to see his chiropractor the other day and she gave us some ionic molybdenum to give to her everyday for the next 3 weeks. She had her 12 month immunisations a few weeks ago (HiB and meningococcal C) and has a patch of eczema on her foot, which I think appeared about that time. She also did a muscle strength test which was positive for toxic metals.

I'm just looking to get another opinion because there's something about this chiropractor that I don't trust. I'm not sure what it is as she's been great for DH, but I can't and won't ignore my gut when it comes to DD. I haven't heard of molybdenum as a treatment before, but understand that it is important for certain enzymes to do their jobs.

Is it actually the element or is it a homeopathic preparation? The only time I've ever heard molybdenum talked about is in relation to the radioactive isotopes, so from that view point I would be very cautious about using it without a detailed explanation...however if it's a a homeopathic preparation, they are usually so wildly dilute that i'm not sure they would even contain even trace amounts of the thing they're made from. Is she trying to use it to chelate the heavy metals (from the vaccination) out of her system?

Either way, it's a good idea to follow your intuition. xxx

The label just says "ionic molybdenum" so I'm assuming it's the homeopathic peparation. The chiro said it should help her liver to break down the heavy metals. I've tried google to find out more, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of useful information, especially in relation to giving it to such a young child.

Thanks MD. I'm trying to follow my intuition, but that doesn't seem to be enough for DH. He and MIL are quite happy to question medical doctors, but don't see the same need for naturopaths/chiros etc. Just because something is natural, doesn't mean it is good for you.
