Having lemons/lemon juice can help lower your blood sugar faster if you are diabetic. Since blood sugars and metabolism are all linked, I guess in theory, lemon juice in water would help your metabolism.

Don't know, but it's not great for your teeth...but then again I have shocking teeth, and an ok metabolism! Balsams vinegar is also bad for wearing down enamel.

Well I am going to start this today - since I have a loaded lemon tree! Arcadia, I believe it is only really damaging to tooth enamel if it's left in your mouth for any length of time, so diluted juice with water, followed by a rinse with plain water should be fine.

Ive started doing this in the morning too but with half a lemon. You can drink from a straw to protect your teeth more I guess? But I always have something else to drink afterwards.

The acid in lemon allows your body to absorb water better, it also creates an environment in the gut that is good flora friendly as bad flora don't like an acidic stomach. Your body will function better when properly hydrated, so yes it will have an effect on your metabolism. Adding ginger root to it will also help as it is an anti-fungal which will again reduce the amount of bad bacteria which in turn, will allow you to better absorb the nutrients from your food and reduce bloating.

I don't know if it actually does but ages ago I did this every day without fail 3 times a day (replacing 2 coffees) and yes I did in fact loose weight. There was nothing extra or special that I did, that was it ....... I should do this again
