    Surprised!

I've always been a little sceptical about the use of vinegar and bi carb

So I ran out of dishwasher tablets the other day and I remember reading here somewhere that you can use bicarb...well I can honestly say I've been converted

My dishes are sparkly and clean!!

I've been feeling dissapointed with the tablets of late as there is always one or two things that need re-washing not anymore

so whilst I wont be ditching all my cleaning products if I keep trying these things I might be able to drop a few more

Maybe I should give this a go, I always wanted a house with a dishwasher, we moved here 10 months ago and we have a dishwasher, I was so excited! But.... I NEVER use it, it just doesn't clean to my standards, hmm, to try or not to try

I'm going to try that too tonight - I'm sick of paying a fortune for the tablets and half the time having my dishes not be clean enough - and yes, i could wash them by hand but id rather be playing with my kids!

We're just about to buy our dishwasher so will be interesting to see how this works when it's installed! Thanks for the tip

i don't have a dishwasher, but i use bi-carb and vinegar to clean my toilet and think that it does a really great job. we're on tank water as well, so can't use bleach, but i reckon it does just as good a job as what bleach would in the toilet

    Awesome, isn't it?

FIL was cross at MIL the other day for using the cheap dishwasher tabs, "buy the more expensive ones" and prattled off the brand he wanted her to buy... I told her about bi-carb and vinegar, but I know she wont coz of FIL

But I use it here, but have some tabs to get rid of first...

I practically only use bicarb and vinegar here for most cleaning. For everything but the dishes I also add a couple of drops of eucalyptus or tea tree oil to make it smell nice and fresh.
