    100+kg, weightloss and ivf

    Hi All,

I just thought i'd start this thread if anyone wants to join me!

My story is, I am 30, DH 33. I am a over the 100kg mark and have mild pcos. My husband has sperm motility issues but a good count!

We are aiming for ICSI try #1 in a few months but have started to self-convince myself its never going to work due to my weight!

I was wondering - has anyone else been in the 'Over 100kg' category and still found success with IVF/ICSI? or lost weight and found success??

I would love to hear from anyone who has - or anyone else in the same boat as me just about to commence their rollercoaster ride!

    Much love,
    Kell

Hi hun, i just want to say good luck!

I was over 100kgs (just) when i had my successful IVF cycle with ICSI and PGD. By the 3rd i just was over the disappointments and went with the flow. I had lost weight and was under 100 for both of my 'failed' cycles.
Plus i found the stimming caused me to put on weight also. Not sure if its like that for everyone tho.

Also when you get your BFP there is a thread for plus size preggies you can join

Count me in! A week and a half ago i was 107kg but I have found my weight really fluctuates due to the stim drugs. Just about to start second cycle - jabs start tomorrow. I need to keep trying to get the weight off. Even while stimming. Trying to follow low gi and 1600 cals a day... To be honest I feel a little hopeless about it all at the moment

Okay. This is me. I am overweight and I need to lose 5-10 kilos in the next eight weeks.

I need a good swift kick up the butt. I am scared I can't do it.

If there's anyone out there who wants to be a weightloss buddy (particularly if it's for TTC/IVF) please let me know! I would love the opportunity to have someone to share the journey with....
