I don't understand why you think you would be held responsible?
Maybe they just can't be bothered fixing it now, and want to fix it when you move out?
I need to write a letter to the realestate because I have been calling them to get things fixed since i moved in here and at my last inspection in August the realestate guy took a note of everything that needed to be fixed and still NOTHING has been done.
I am moving out in 8 weeks and i do not want to be help responsible for anything that is wrong with the house so im now going to write them a letter demanding that things HAVE to be fixed! but im just not sure how to word it!!!
any help is appreciated![]()

Ive lived here for almost 2 years... Ok the wording sounded wrong.. Not held responsible but i dont want them to take my bond for the stuff that needs to be fixed.
Oh and they dont know im moving out yet
I wouldnt worry about asking them to fix stuff, just put in writing a timeline of events and the outcomes of your calls regarding issues in the house (i.e no outcome/resolution)
If whatever needs fixing was noted in the condition report as needing to be repaired, then they can't take your bond. And I agree with Yules.
No this stuff has happened since ive lived here.
Unfortunately if they havent been notified in writing you might have some issues.
You should ask them for a copy of the last inspection report to be forwarded to you, to see what notes were made by them
& then do what Yules said and make a timeline of events.
You may need to take them to VTAC if they don't have documented evidence of reports and repairs needing to be done etc.
Generally R/E provide you with a form to fill out if something breaks or needs maintenance during your tenancy.
