not interested in food, 11 months old?

DS loved his solids from 4 months old. Ate a variety of tinned food and puree fruit and loved yoghurt. The last two weeks, he hates all food, just shakes his head and cries when I put him in the high chair. I'm starting to introduce finger foods but he normally just throws it off his high chair and doesn't eat it. Am I doing something wrong? For the life of me, I can't remember what DD did! My memory is like a sieve!

Sorry to hear about your DS hun......I have a 11 month old but he is like a bottomless pit when it comes to eating, he will eat anything I put in from of him. I do recall however in one of my MCHN visits that they do go through phases when they refuse foods, even their fave ones. And remember too, food if fun before 1! Have you tried totally different foods to get his attention/interest? Is he teething??

yes I am not sure what it wrong. have tried him on all the food we eat but he has one taste and throws it off his highchair. at my wits end, wasting so much food, he's drinking his toddler formula though (because he won't eat anything else) - not sure what to do??? help anyone else out there experiencing/or experienced same issue?

My DD did that at about 12 months - went from being a great eater to flatly refusing a lot of stuff. I figured it was just her realizing that this was something that she could control and testing the boundaries. I just didn't make a fuss, kept offering whatever we were eating and I think it only took a few weeks before she was back eating me out of house and home!! We still have rough patches where all of a sudden she'll decide she won't sit on her chair but will eat when on my lap or on a big chair... or the latest is that she's decided that she doesn't like stuff all mixed together so stir-fry, soup etc is out. Siiiigh!! Hopefully it's just a phase for your DS too. I'd say as long as you're satisfied that he's getting sufficient nutrition from the formula, try not to stress too much. I know, easier said than done!
