    Playdoh in the carpet

    Hi all, I'm sorry, I'm sure I've seen a thread on this before but I can't find it.

    Any tips on how to get Playdoh out of carpet? It's home-made stuff so just veg oil, salt, flour and food colouring. I've picked out some bits but It's all smooshed in and I'm loathe to start washing lest I spread the coloring. Should I let it dry?

    I don't know what the right way is but I dry it with ah hair dryer on low, scratch it until it's powder/loose bits and vacuum it out.
