High Quality Suit hire for groomsman

Hi

DH is a groomsman in a wedding in Sydney (we live in the ACT). He's got to go out and get a suit - the groom is talking about buying suits because the hire ones look cheap.

Now it's costing us a small ransom to go to the wedding in the first place (and we have to fix the roof on the house, as well as a hundred other things so money is pretty tight.

DH wears suits to work, he doesn't have any that fit the description and from the description it's not the sort of suit that DH would wear afterwards.

We would rather hire a high quality suit than have to buy one that DH won't wear again.

Any suggestions of places to go to? I'm happy if you suggest a place interstate, because I'll ring them and see if they know of someone in either the ACT or Sydney who have a similar service.

How far ahead of the wedding will you be getting to Sydney? You can contact a place in Sydney and give them the measurements and hire one that way. Then try it on when you get there just in case something needs fixing.
You just have to have someone reliable to return it for you if you are unable to

DH has always hired his suits and tuxs from Myer. I think it was about $90 to hire it... That was with a ties/cumberbun etc.

we will only be in Sydney for the day before and then we leave the day after the wedding. I remember DH hired a suit from Myer - 8 years ago and it was excellent quality.

I've told DH that he should go out with his brother and look at some suit hire places one day. Also found out the suit is black and DH doesn't wear black suits (he's a navy guy)...

Go to your local Myer store and get fitted then make sure you get a suit bag to travel. Make sure it's the last thing packed then the first thing removed. We traveled from Melb to Perth and his suit was fine.
