Is all minkee equal?

I bought DS1 a lovely cow print minkee blankie, and have been looking at making one for DS2. But I'm confused by all the different minkee.

How is blanket minkee different from other minkee? Is any minkee better than others? Can I only buy minkee online?

I wouldnt think there would be much different? I only know of the blanket stuff though.
