Pandora Bracelet - Which bead to reflect your children?
I have a feeling I'm in the wrong area (Mods, please move for me if so).
But.........
I have a Pandora Bracelet. I got one when in Aus over Christmas & I started off with 2 beads. I got a heart shaped bead to resemble DH & a sapphire bead for myself (birthstone). Next time I'm in Aus, I would like a bead each to resemble my girls. I always thought I wanted the little girl pendants to resemble my children, but here's the thing, I'm not sure I actually like them. lol
I'm thinking of a pretty bead with the kids birthstones in it, not necessarily matching though.
So it got me thinking, which bead did you choose to resemble your children?
My DD2 is mad on shoes, & there is a gorgeous shoe charm - if it had an amethyst in it, would be perfect.
When I was pg I got the gold dummy after I had my 12 week scan. When she was born I got her star sign (capricorn i think?!), and for xmas, my mil got me an elf to represent her first christmas.
I am boring two little girls and a boy! But i have a bumblebee as it's where they go to daycare and and a lady bug as the girls love them and a blue crystal dd1 chose for ds
do you have nicknames or anything for your girls that there might be a charm to resemble it. My angle bub was sunbeam so I have a Sun to resemble him and ds is my moonbeam so yep you guessed it he has a moon, starsigns and birthstones are a good idea to or so.ething that reflects their personality
Claudia is like a ballerina, so I would like ballerina type one for her. I have never seen a ballerina one, but mind you, I have never looked. Jess is mad on pink things, so there are plenty of pink style ones I could choose for her.
I like the pram ones with the blue or pink stones in, but being that my girls are now 4 & 6 I think that's a bit old for them - you know? If they were still babies, then that's what I would go for.
I have lovelinks (very similar to pandora) - and have a murano bead to represent DD - DH gave her and I the same bead (hers is 'petite') for her first birthday. i have a star necklace from when she was born (her nursery was star themed), and the bead for my birthday and christmas last year both have stars in them. i also have one she gave me for mothers day with a cherub on it, and last week she picked a rose bead for me while we were on holidays. the main one for her though is the rainbow murano bead
Although I don't have a pandora bracelet, my DD1 does and she has charms to represent different people in her life - A fish for my Dad who always takes her fishing, a ghost for my Mum who is in to all things supernatural, a butterfly for me as I have a butterfly tattoo for her, a teacup for my brother who is a tea addict! lol
I think it is great to incorporate an interest or personality trait into the bead for someone. I think the shoe or ballerina for Claudia would be great! What would you do for Jess?
LISA _ I'm so glad you found this thread because I remember you telling me Maddy had a Pandora & she had chosen really thoughtful beads to represent the important/loved ones in her life.
Yeah, the shoe or the ballerina suits Claudia to the ground huh? There is a beautiful tiara/crown type one as well, as she is always wearing a dress up tiara.
I have just gone through the Pandora website & funnily enough, I found a strawberry one which reminded me of Jessica right away - so I'm thinking either the strawberry, or a pink glass bead for her & either the crown or the shoe for Claudia.

I got a pandora necklace for my birthday this year and I mentioned this in the birthstone thread that I wanted a birthstone charm for the kids, but because they didn't have the 'right' one for September, I went with their starsigns. I did think of having their initials, but they would have spelt LEPA which I thought didn't look right LOL.
I don't have a Pandora bracelet, but when I was looking at them, I was going to get a lady bug for Steph and the rhino for Ryan. That's just their nicknames.
Jayne, I have the booklet sitting in front of me... there's one that looks like ballet slippers with a pink zirconia, the slippers dangle down off the charm.
My pandora was a gift from school when I left... Most of the beads that have gone on so far are ones to represent different aspects of my life - there's my butterfly, my bible, my stack of text books. I've just recently put a little boy on there for Sam, and I will eventually put another one on for him when something about his personality eventually links up to another charm for me! But I have nothing on there for DH either - thinking a rose eventually for our wedding (we had roses). I think I also need a teddy bear on there for myself.
One think I've noticed since I got it... pandora probably has the most limited range and the most boring charms! I kind of wish I'd gone with the lovelinks BG has as there are some gorgeous charms in their range!
BW _ have you seen the charm that has the wedding rings sitting on a pillow? I LOVE this charm.I wish I had seen it before I bought the heart. But DH is already represented so he's lost his chance. Bahahaha.
if there is something you are particularly looking for, theme wise, you can look at lovelinks or another type of charm - just make sure they will fit your bracelet. i have a universal bracelet, which is supposed to take all beads (DH was worried he'd get the wrong one). Thankful for that fact - he bought Pandora beads last week! they fit, but it's a tight fit. BW only wants Pandora beads cos she is worried about different metals reacting, but I have friends who have a mix and have not had a drama. And I will have a mix. They do seem to be fairly limited in what you can get, but it's not the sort of thing where you will need to fill it up - I already have 11 charms on my necklace and it does feel pretty heavy already. I don't think I will get too many more.
